We went camping up at Strawberry for our one year anniversary! It was so much fun! We found a beautiful, secluded place. We made foil dinners and roasted smores and went for a hike and ate some of our wedding cake (still good too) and gave eachother gifts and enjoyed our beautiful stary night cuddling together until we headed in to bed. It was the best!
Jace went with me to try out for American Idol. We had so much fun, except for the waking up at 4 am part. We saw so many crazy people it was hilarious! We sat right in front of one guy who was singing "Colors Of The Wind" from Pocahantas! It was soooooo funny and he brought a mic to sing in. We couldn't stop laughing! It was GREAT! A lot of my family tried out as well. My brother Austin, my cousins, Weston, Marty, Angelee, Teisha, and Jessica all tried out. It was an AWESOME experience. None of us made it, but hey at least we can say we did it. It was a blast!!!Waiting in line outside! Getting ready to try-out!
Not only did we become an Aunt and Uncle, we also became GRANDPARENTS!!!!! lol our two cats Cougar and Lynx had kittens! It was a lovely situation! Here is what happend. . . we asked our vet when they could get neutered and they told us not until they are 6 months old. Well Lynx went into heat at 4 months old. Then she just stopped one day so we thought "uh-oh" she is probably pregnant. We went back to the vet to have her checked and the retarded lady said she was. So there was nothing we could do but wait it out. Then when it was the time the lady vet said she would have her kittens she didn't. But by now Lynx looked like a bowling ball. SO we took her in again to make sure everything was okay with her pregnancy. We saw a different guy vet and he told us that the other lady had been fired because she was retarded. He then told us that when we had brought Lynx in the first time to the lady vet she probably hadn't been pregnant and that cats could actually be fixed at around 4 months but they recommend 6. We were raging pissed because now we had kittens coming that could have been prevented. Then to top it off of course she gets pregnant with the largest litter EVER! 5 maybe 6 he said. So now we had to wait for a butt load of kitties! YAY! (Sarcasm) Then Lynx finally went into labor about 2 weeks later. Then he said that she would probably be fine with giving birth because most cats never have a problem, oh but not our cat because she is dumb and has to be the 1 in a million that has complications. So I'm home alone because Jace had a meeting that night and she starts having her kittens. The first was born fine. But the second got stuck for about an hour, so I tried to help her and then when it was born it did one little meow and died in my hands. I started crying so hard. It was the saddest thing EVER! SO I called my Dad because he is the animal expert and he came over to be with me and help me. The third was ok, she was the biggest. The fourth was still born. (sad) Then she stopped for about 3 hours so we thought she was done. The next morning I checked on her and in her litter box was another kitten that had died. The fifth was still born too. Then 6 hours went by and she didn't have any more. But then all of a sudden she started having contractions again and I thought is there another one in there? Jace said she was probably fine. . . but I knew better. The next morning she was still acting weird and I knew something was wrong. I made Jace take her to the vet and I stayed with the kittens. Sure enough she had another one stuck and her uterous had infected to 10 times the size of a normal one! They did emergency surgery and said if we had waited any longer Lynx would have died. WHEW! That was quite a story! SO anyway, we ended up with 2 out of 6 and they were the cutest little stinkers and ended up going to great homes!
